Q: I am a different size at my upper body and a different size at my lower body?

A: If your upper and lower body require different sizes, please email us at support@seamstresslagos.com with the subject line “Custom Size” and provide your specific measurements: Bust, Waist, Hips, and preferred product length in inches. Please note that custom-sized outfits incur an additional cost and, due to their personalized nature, are non-returnable and non-exchangeable.

Q: My outfit doesn't fit despite including my custom measurements?

Q: Can this item be made longer as I am quite tall?

A: Yes, please email us at support@seamstresslagos.com with the subject line “Custom Length” and provide your Preferred product length in Inches. Please note that custom-sized outfits incur an additional cost and, due to their personalized nature, are non-returnable and non-exchangeable.

Q: Can I change my order after checkout?

Q: What do I do if I choose the wrong color/size for my order?

Q: I got my order but it had some defects?

Q: How do I add more items to my order?

Q: I didn’t get any notification after placing my order?

A: Please be sure you refresh your mail and check your spam folder. If you didn’t get a notification still, kindly send us an email at support@seamstresslagos.com or send us a message via WhatsApp on +2347037604135 as soon as possible.

Q: What is your return policy?

A: We want you to love your Seamstress Lagos pieces. If for any reason you need to return or exchange an item, please note our timelines:

Orders within Lagos: Item(s) must be received by us within 3 business days from the date of delivery or pick-up.

Orders within Nigeria (outside Lagos): Item(s) must be received by us within 5 business days from the date of delivery.

International Orders: Item(s) must be received by us within 10 business days from the date of delivery.

Important: The item(s) must physically be in our possession within these timeframes to qualify for an exchange or a refund. There are no exceptions to this.

For “Pick up” orders, a refund is only possible if the item is picked up within 2 weeks of the order date. Pick-ups after this period will only be eligible for store credit. Orders picked up later than 6 weeks will not be eligible for exchange or refund.

Please note: Items purchased or tried on in person cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded. Additionally, items bought online cannot be exchanged for items available in person.

Q: Who pays for return shipping?

A: Currently, we do not provide shipping labels. Therefore, the customer is responsible for the cost of sending the item(s) back to Seamstress Lagos.

Q: What are the charges for an exchange?

A: If you’d like to exchange an item, you will be responsible for:

1. The cost of sending the original item back to us, and

2. The delivery fee for sending the new item to you (this will be the same as your original shipping cost).

Q: How will I receive my refund?

A: Refunds will be issued, minus the original shipping cost, via bank transfer.

Q: How quickly are exchanges shipped or refunds processed?

A: Once we receive your returned item, we aim to ship an exchange within 48 hours except in the case of an occasion wear product this made take up to 7 business days or process a refund within 5-7 business days, depending on your request. Please remember that refund processing times can vary depending on your payment provider and may take longer to appear in your account.

Q: What condition should the returned items be in?

A: All returned items must be unworn, undamaged, free of any blemishes (like stains or marks), and in their original packaging to be eligible for an exchange or refund. If an item is returned to us in a damaged condition, we will not be able to process a refund or exchange, regardless of the circumstances, and you will be responsible for the shipping costs to have it returned to you.

Q: Can I return or exchange sale items or items bought with a discount code?

A: Unfortunately, sale items or items purchased using a discount code are not eligible for a refund or exchange under any circumstances. Only full-price items qualify for our standard return and exchange policy.

Q: Can I return an item for an exchange instead of a refund?

A: Yes, you can exchange an item for another size or style, subject to our exchange and return policy.

Important notes about exchanges:

Non-custom items: You can exchange non-custom items within the specified timeframe.

Custom items: Unfortunately, we cannot offer exchanges or returns on customized outfits. However, we may be able to make alterations to your custom outfit at no additional cost, subject to our availability.

Logistics costs for alterations: Please note that you will be responsible for the shipping costs of sending the item for alterations and returning it to you.

What constitutes a “customized item”?

Any item made with measurements that fall outside our standard size guide.

Any item featuring alterations to sleeves or lengths that differ from our basic measurements. For example, if you provide measurements in the order notes (bust 36 inches, waist 29 inches, hips 40 inches) that are close to but not exactly a size 10 in our size guide, this will be considered a customized item.

Q: What should I do to ensure a smooth return/exchange process?

A: To ensure a swift and seamless process, please make sure your return meets all the terms and conditions outlined above.

Q: How long does the exchange process take?

A: After we have received and inspected the garment please allow for 3 – 5 business days for it to be processed and in the case of an Occassion wear product please allow for up to 10 – 15 business days

Q: What if I receive a faulty item?

A: If you believe you have received a faulty item, please notify us within 3 days from the date of delivery. The faulty item must be returned to us no later than 20 days from the delivery date. After this 20-day period, we will no longer be able to accept the item, regardless of the situation.

Q: I purchased with store credits, can I exchange it?

A: Items purchased with store credits are non exchangeable.

Q: Do you deliver outside Lagos?

A: Yes, we deliver to all states within Nigeria. We also deliver world wide.

Q: Do you offer international shipping?

A: Yes, we ship worldwide.

Q: How long will it take for my order to get to me after making payment?

A: Within Lagos: 1 – 3 business days

Within Nigeria (outside Lagos): 4 – 6 business days 

International Orders: 5 – 7 business days after order placement

Q: How can I track my order?

A: We offer tracking for most orders.

Here’s how it works:

Orders outside Nigeria : You’ll receive a tracking number via email as soon as your item is shipped. You can use this number to track your order on the courier’s website. 

Local orders within Nigeria: Unfortunately, we don’t currently offer tracking for Nigerian Orders.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We’re working on implementing tracking for Nigerian orders in the future. Please check back for updates.

Custom Orders: Custom orders require an additional 2 business days on top of the standard delivery timeline for your location.

Q: Do you take express orders?

A: Yes! We offer express shipping on all orders to get your items to you faster.

Q: The shipping company got to my location but I missed the shipper’s call?

A: If you’re unreachable when the shipping company arrives, your item will be returned to Seamstress Lagos. We’ll contact you via email or WhatsApp to schedule a new delivery.

Please note: There will be a shipping fee for the second delivery, which you’ll be responsible for paying. We recommend providing your phone number and a backup contact person in case you’re unavailable when the shipper tries to deliver.

To avoid missed deliveries:

Ensure your contact information is up-to-date.

Consider providing a backup contact person.

Be available during the estimated delivery window.

Q: I’ll like my outfit delivered to a different address?

Q: Can I return an item for an exchange instead of a refund?

A: Yes, you can exchange an item for another size or style, subject to our exchange and return policy.

Non-custom items: You can exchange non-custom items within the specified timeframe.

Sales or discount: You cannot exchange items gotten from during sales or with discount codes

Gift Card: You cannot exchange an item gotten using a gift card.

Q: Can I exchange an item I got on sale?

A: All sale items are final and can’t be exchanged.

Q: Do you accept payment on delivery?

A: No, we don’t accept payment on delivery. All orders must be paid for in full before delivery.

Q: Can I arrange for my pick up?

A: Yes, you can! To arrange for pickup, please include this in your order notes or send us a message via WhatsApp at +2347037604135. Please provide the following information:

Name of the person picking up

Phone number of the person picking up

Copy of the person’s valid ID .

Once we receive this information, we’ll provide you with our studio details. Please note that pickups are available during our pickup hours:

Monday – Friday: 10 AM – 4 PM

Saturdays: 10 AM – 12 PM

Please be aware that any alterations made during pickup will incur an additional charge. If you have any questions about the pickup process, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Q: Can I change my order after checkout?

Q: I typed in the wrong address and i need to change it

A: To change your delivery address, kindly send us an email at support@seamstresslagos.com or send us a message via WhatsApp on +2347037604135 within 4 hours of placing your initial order. However, please note that once orders are processed, they cannot be cancelled or modified. Where a wrong address is provided, and items are undeliverable at first attempt, you will be charged for a second delivery attempt.

A: Gift cards are non refundable

Lagos same day delivery for all Ajoke products. Order before 11am. T&C applies.

For local standard orders (within Nigeria) it takes 3-5 business days for your order to be processed and shipped. A notification will be sent to you via email as soon as your order is ready to be shipped. And an email will be sent to you a day before your order is shipped out. 

For international orders it takes 5 -10 business days for your order to be processed as all garments are made to order. A notification will be sent to you via email as soon as your order is ready to be shipped alongside your tracking details.

Please note that orders placed during sale periods or new launch periods might take up to 7 – 12 business days for both local and international shipping due to high increased demand.
